December 2021 Newsletter

December is personally my favorite month of the year. I love Christmas season. Our classroom has been decorated and more Christmas works on the shelves. There is something in the air that made this month went by each day with joy.

In our unit studies we have learnt about Europe continent, Asia and Africa continents. We also learnt about the first Christmas.

We also planted the tulip bulbs and looking forward to see all of them in Spring time.

In one of our art project, we used the fallen pine leaves to be part of the pictures. Children got to smell, feel and paint on or around it.

In our science experiment, we used the baking soda and vinegar to blow up the balloon. I love hearing their excitement voices when they saw the balloon got blown up. We also made salt dough together and we made the hand print salt dough ornaments for the families.

We also celebrate birthdays as they travelled around the Sun.

Working hard in our classroom is part of the culture in Montessori Academy.

Before the month ends we made cookies and decorated them for the holidays.

Snow finally arrived at the right time for our winter break from Dec 24th - Jan 2nd, 2022.
