In October's unit studies we learnt about the moon, earth, hemispheres and the continents. Children leant through songs, and hands on activities such as the world puzzles. We looked through the telescope together. We also made craters of the moon through the baking soda and vinegar as one of our science experiment. The children were able to sort the objects whether they will sink or float in the water.
Since this is the pumpkin season, we learnt about parts of the pumpkin, feel the inside of the pumpkin and carved the pumpkin together.
During our arts and crafts, we decorated pumpkins with stickers, painted pumpkin, painted the leaves, learnt about the shape of the leaves since there were so much in our playground.
Children have been learning Spanish on every Wednesday through songs, puppets and stories.
We had the custume party and played scavenger hunt in our classroom, decorated pumpkin and had fun.
All in all we had a great time during the month of October. Look forward for more fun in November.
